Web Version Hubspot UI

Role

UX / UI Designer

Client

Hubspot

Project Overview

Designed a web version interface for Hubspot's platform, translating the existing desktop product into a browser-accessible experience. The goal was to maintain feature parity while optimising for web-specific interactions and responsive layouts.

The Challenge

Design Goals

Maintain feature parity with the desktop application

Optimise layouts for browser-based navigation

Ensure responsive design across all viewports

Keep data dashboards scannable and actionable

Design Approach

Layout Architecture

Restructured the navigation from a desktop-centric sidebar to a web-friendly top navigation with collapsible side panels. This approach maximises the content area while keeping key features accessible.

Dashboard Design

Data visualisations were redesigned for browser rendering, with responsive chart components and flexible grid layouts that adapt to available screen real estate.

Interaction Patterns

Replaced desktop-specific interactions with web-native patterns — hover states, contextual menus, and progressive disclosure to manage complexity.

Outcome

  • Fully responsive web interface matching desktop functionality
  • Optimised navigation for browser-based workflows
  • Readable, actionable dashboards across screen sizes
  • Consistent Hubspot brand experience in the browser
